Back in the Studio FINALLY!

Been in physical therapy for over three months now and am pretty sick of having no time. The problem with driving 52 miles each way to the best physical therapy center (in my opinion) in the Twin Cities Area for back issues is that you are totally exhausted after you finally get home. And it is an all day project. But, on the good side of the issue… I am nearing the end of my stabilizing PT for this year at least. Found out lots this time around and while I can’t be cured (degenerative osteo-arthritis in the spine) I can stabilize it and work to slow the degeneration. That’s a big deal. The other side of the coin is that all the pain in my legs and feet is caused by my back issue and that will never go away.

Actually, this is also a blessing to know. Just knowing what’s going on is a relief.

So today was truly a blessing. Four hours in the studio painting… that’s really a gift in my books!

About Kat Bryan Wallace

I am a two-dimensional artist and writer working with memories interpreted in paintings, drawings, photographs and my writing. Memory is powerful but not perfect… it changed like a raw photographic image will never return to its original image once changed into a jpeg and our memories, as we remember them, shape us into who we become. Life recycles as we remember the past and evolve. My art is about interpreting life, memories and knowledge, what makes life possible, and how this all will affect the future.
