Of course when one room changes it becomes like a rubic’s cube.
First the couch from the lower level and the matching love-seat moved to my son Bill’s new apartment. Which freed up the small sitting room on the first floor to become the home office. Then we had talked about making the upstairs studio back into a second small sitting room/guest room. And so it began…
First, of course, had to paint the small sitting room to get ready for the partners’ desk delivery which took three deliveries from HOM Furniture to be right. Cleaned and waxed the wood floors and began to make the desk our own.
Tuesday and Wednesday I moved the office stuff from the upstairs studio to the first floor office. Lot of stuff moved and shredded.
Today I started moving the downstairs around to re-become my studio again and to make room for all the stuff upstairs which now has to be moved back to the downstairs. While I don’t like painting on the lower level, Dean has installed so many ceiling lights which I can aim any which way when I am painting and I also have two Ott Lights which brings the light and daylight to quite a high level in the downstairs.
So much stuff to go through!!! And lots more papers to go through (why in the world I saved so much which would never re-become my world is beyond me at this point). And lots of photographs and lots of frames, and thousands of books. So decided to start with the loose items scattered around and came across this old picture from when I was 17 years old:

Considering this photo was taken many years ago it brought back a million memories. So yes, had to take a break and just think about it all. The picture was taken in late August in 1962 (yes I’m old) at my Aunt Joyce’s (Kronstedt) apartment in Arlington, Virginia. Lots of water under the bridge since this one was taken.
Whew… Well, back to cleaning!
