It’s a strange time and too many people are sick and dying. Life has slowed down dramatically with stay at home orders in place. I as an introvert, of course, pretty much love and do this most of the time anyway.
Here in Minnesota we now have over 500 confirmed ill with the virus and 9 have died. Numbers keep going up every day.
Dean’s work has moved to home. He moved his computer, office chair, and work paraphernalia to the home office and we are now on day two of his working from home. Yesterday was hard for me as I tried to keep out of his way but last night he said it was too quiet so I pretty much went back to my normal routine today.
So, what am I doing during this stressful time? Normal activities, house activities, painting, and writing. Well, I have also volunteered to teach the kids (my grandkids) art over the internet. Busy getting my lesson plans in place, pulling out my art books, notes, sketchbooks and everything I can use for planning lessons and how I do this going forward. So, it’s time consuming and more than interesting. Ordered some art supplies for the kids, shipping directly to Thia and Tobit and the kids get excited everytime another package arrives. It is fun thinking of enlightening them about art, technique, and art history. And when I started perusing my old art stuff, I just felt like a flower opening and blooming in the Spring. It made me very happy.
Now to figure out the internet stuff. I was going to FaceTime but my computer is being stubborn so may have to download something like ZOOM. Anyone out there use ZOOM or something similar for meetings and conferences?
So, bad and good stuff going on. More later and more often now. Everyone stay safe and healthy out there.
