Spring is coming to Minnesota

Wow, Spring in Minnesota is always a delight. It gets quite cold here and we are always rushing toward the thought of Spring once April is on the horizon. Although the temperatures at night will frequently be in the teens or 20s … the day’s temperatures can sometimes (not often, but sometimes) reach the 50s and 60s. At this time of year in Minnesota you are apt to see the youngers in shorts, flip flops, and other summer apparel. Gosh, I love this state.

It has been a quite a year for both me and my husband Dean. I published my third Hidden Lifeforms book called Aracon. I think I am now ready to move on and feel that I am satisfied with the closure at the end of Aracon but who knows, might return to the tale sometime in the future.

We lost Dean’s father the end of last year. He had been in a nursing home for sometime but losing a parent is hard, especially since he lost his mother two years ago.

We bought a hot tub and it is wonderful! Even on those cold days, bundled up we go out to the tub and it’s great to slip into the hot bubbling water and we do … a lot:

So, working on a new book as well as a new painting. Staying busy… life is good!

About Kat Bryan Wallace

I am a two-dimensional artist and writer working with memories interpreted in paintings, drawings, photographs and my writing. Memory is powerful but not perfect… it changed like a raw photographic image will never return to its original image once changed into a jpeg and our memories, as we remember them, shape us into who we become. Life recycles as we remember the past and evolve. My art is about interpreting life, memories and knowledge, what makes life possible, and how this all will affect the future.
